old stone walls

i babysat up in pound ridge, ny this weekend, and wish i had been able to take more pictures. the drive was absolutely stunning, and as fall arrives here in new england all i want to do is drive and walk and be outside.

an afternoon at the orchard

apple-picking was a new england must-do, so i was excited when a few other apprentices were interested in making it happen as well. we went to a nearby town, easton, and went to a place that had pumpkins, apple picking, food, a cute market, and a petting zoo across the street.

over the hill are the apple trees!

<3 fall :)

it was wonderful getting outside for an afternoon, enjoying each others company, & eating some delicious apples.

my own teaching

school is going really well - today was day 4, and as my teacher was kinda sick i ended up teaching almost the whole day. it was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating to be in control of the class, and i'm happy that my teacher felt comfortable leaving the kids (mostly) in my hands so early on in the year.

had a pretty relaxing & unexciting weekend, but did manage to drive a bit north through ridgefield & up to danbury & snapped a shot of one of many gorgeous churches...

happy monday!

covered bridges & freshly baked bread

since it's a holiday weekend, i decided to take advantage of a saturday afternoon to see a little more of my new state...
i drove up north through Danbury, up to the covered bridge called Bull's Bridge just outside Kent, and over to Bantam to make a stop at a bakery listed in my CT book
it was a gorgeous day to see some of northwestern connecticut :)

rocks!
